Common Questions Regarding Global Education
Canada, the UK, Australia and the USA are common study-abroad destinations, but no country is best for every student. Compare course availability, entry requirements, total cost, intake timing and current visa conditions before deciding.
Start planning about 9–12 months before the intended intake, then confirm the exact deadline on each university and course page. Competitive courses, scholarships and applications that require tests, portfolios or references may need earlier preparation. An intake name is not a universal deadline, and early preparation does not guarantee admission.
Typical university-application documents may include:
· A valid passport
· Complete academic transcripts and certificates
· English-language evidence, when required
· A CV, personal statement or SOP
· References and any course-specific portfolio or test result
Requirements vary by university and course. Visa evidence is separate and should be checked with the relevant official authority.
Work permission depends on the destination, visa conditions, course level, institution and whether the period is term time or an official break. Rules can change, so students should check their visa or permit and the relevant government guidance before accepting work. Usually, a language proficiency test is required at the undergrad level. Some graduate programs require GRE or GMAT. Other than this, health-related programs such as nursing require a CASPer medical examination and police clearance certificate as well.
